Creative Milk Bath Photo Session

Starting with Portraits

For every milk bath session I give everyone the option to have some natural light portraits before the milk bath photoshoot so we can have some time getting comfortable with each other and to get into the swing of it. That way by the time it comes to the bath photos it will feel much easier and more relaxed.

The apartment location I used here with Shannon had this beautiful large bay window which let in lots of natural light and made a lovely background as well.

Creative Milk Bath Photo Session

For this stunning milk bath photoshoot in Brighton I teamed up with the wonderful florist Flowers4 from Worthing who created some gorgeous floral pieces.

Brandon the florist even prepared all the rose petals for me as well which was fantastic! There were just so many petals so it looks really striking! Shannon’s red lipstick matched the petals really well and added some drama, especially with her dark hair, she looks stunning!

We also went for some very simple looks. Brandon made this beautifully simple headpiece out of Rosemary which he tied with ribbon at the back. What a lovely idea! The bathroom was so scented with the rosemary, eucalyptus leaves and flowers. I absolutely love the black lilies in amongst all the blue flowers as well in the bouquet in the photo on the bottom right.

Fancy a milk bath shoot?

It's great for a unique creative portrait session to treat yourself or for a maternity bump shoot.

There are more options with this type of shoot than you might think! You could try lots of ideas such as fresh flowers, zesty lemons and mint, lots of fabric, floaty dresses or get creative with make up looks (there is the option to have a make up artist as well).

Photographers F Y I….

I receive a lot of messages asking for further details about how I set up these milk bath photoshoots so I’m thinking of creating an online video with a detailed PDF along side it of how I create my set ups for people to purchase with all the ins and outs to do it yourself. If this is something you would be interested in please let me know and let me know what details you would want and what you’d be really interested to see!
