Inayat in India

Inayat in her Hometown

This time last year, before the pandemic started, I was traveling to India for a wedding, and whilst in Chandigarh, I had a photoshoot with Inayat who suggested Chandigarh Rock Garden as the location. It was started by one man in 1957 who secretly made sculptures from anything he could find such as broken ceramics, bracelets, bottles. It wasn’t discovered for 18 years but the public loved what he had done and it was made into a public park! What a wonderful story!

Inayat hasn’t had a photoshoot before but she did so well because it was actually quite a busy location and it’s not always easy having people around watching! Once she watched me demonstrate and pose away with a few posing suggestions (whilst just pretending like the rest of the public wasn’t there) she easily copied what I was doing and got into the swing of it.

I often find in busy locations people are actually quite friendly and will sometimes even watch to get some posing tips for their own travel selfies!

Swings!

It’s always good if people have a prop or something to pose with to get some natural movement and gives them an opportunity to do something with their hands as often when it comes to posing people aren’t sure where to put their hands. Using pockets or running your hands through your hair is often very natural. The swings made for very natural photos as Inayat could lean against the chains and have a bit of a swing. Of course, we just had some fun swinging on the swings ourselves as well whilst we were there.

The Waterfall

In amongst it all was this beautiful waterfall! Inayat’s yellow jumper went so well with the dark stone and water behind!

We had a fantastic photoshoot and Inayat made a fantastic tour guide whilst we were there as well and recommended many other great places for me to visit!
